Our Mission

To glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ through faithful biblical teaching from the King James Bible, genuine fellowship, loving service, and bold evangelism to one another and our community.

King James Bible Teaching

We are committed to the proclamation and teaching of God's Word from the King James Bible as our final authority for faith and practice.

Genuine Fellowship

We cultivate authentic Christian community where believers encourage and support one another in love.

Loving Service

We serve one another and our community, demonstrating the love of Christ through practical acts of kindness.

Bold Evangelism

We share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, proclaiming salvation by grace through faith to all who will hear.

Statement of Faith

What We Believe

The King James Bible

We believe the King James Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God, our final authority for all matters of faith and practice.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" - 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

The Trinity

We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory.

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one" - 1 John 5:7 (KJV)

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became man, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose from the dead.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" - John 3:16 (KJV)

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, not by works, but resulting in a transformed life.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" - Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)

The Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ, called to worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission in the world.

"And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead" - Colossians 1:18 (KJV)

Christ's Return

We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal kingdom.

"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him" - Revelation 1:7 (KJV)

Pastor Dave Turner

Senior Pastor

Pastor Dave Turner has been faithfully serving Cornerstone Baptist Church, leading our congregation with biblical wisdom and genuine care for God's people.

With a heart for teaching God's Word and shepherding His flock, Pastor Dave is committed to equipping believers for ministry and helping each person grow in their relationship with Christ.

His preaching is characterized by clear exposition of Scripture, practical application, and a deep love for the Gospel. Pastor Dave and his family are dedicated to serving Christ and building up the body of believers at Cornerstone.

Church History

Cornerstone Baptist Church has been a beacon of faith in Butler, Kentucky, serving our community with the unchanging message of the Gospel. Our name reflects our foundation - built on Jesus Christ, the solid rock and cornerstone of our faith.

Throughout our history, we have remained committed to faithful biblical teaching, warm Christian fellowship, and active service to our community. We continue to grow and adapt in our methods while staying true to the timeless truths of God's Word.
